Ah, I hate those blogs that rant about daily occurrences like a diary. But yesterday was quite possibly one of the greater days of my life and I felt like I needed to entertain (or bore) you all.
First, we rolled out of bed around nine. Makeup-less and wearing an outfit that would qualify as pajamas, rushed to midtown to get Broadway tickets and pick up Emily's friend Janelle at Port Authority.
Then we came back down and went to the Union Square Greenmarket, where I ate a delicious organic blueberry muffin and got some blueberry jam from my favorite jam people, as well as got to 'hang out' with Julianne Moore. I will report she was examining some herbs before we caught her wistfully staring at bread, supporting her recent "actresses are always hungry" statement.
Then after I went to Anthropologie and totally scored. The fitting-room attendant was a total doll, helping me find adorable belts to go with some new dresses. Then, he whisked me to the front of the line, where I dropped a what will be an undisclosed amount on these gorgeous new threads.
Then I went and got my nails done and a facial. Heaven, minus the 'extraction' part and pedicure (but they are both a necessary discomfort).
Then saw "A Chorus Line," which was just great insight into the working actor's plight, with good singing and dancing. Remembered the English blokes we met in in Valencia (Spain) at Las Fallas, who were in the middle of bouncing around Europe on random acting gigs.
Somewhere in there I managed to work out, do some laundry, make two trips to Whole Foods, and explain Mormonism to my roommate before I called it a day.
Needless to say, I slept reeeally well.
Loving the "New York Minute,"
