For all those who have not understood my borderline-militant attitudes towards not having babies before 25 or even 30 (gasp), polishing drafts instead of going on some weekend group bowling date, or being so neurotic that I stay awake through the night making to-do lists...
THIS is precisely what I have been working towards my entire life.
It's glimpses like these that make every awful sunday afternoon, every morbid memory of my obsessive teenage years, every summer vacation not taken... worth it.
The Devil Wears Prada irks me every time I watch it because Andrea Sachs was just pathetic. Duh, a million girls would kill for that job. Stop whining and complaining.
With every resource and ability at your disposal...goodness, just perform your tasks!
Stop asking for a gold star... wake up and smell the couture!
Ditch your Jarlsberg-grilled-cheese-making boyfriend (however bedroom-dreamy his eyes may be) so you can stay at the CFDA awards.
Tell your dad/parents not to visit.
And accept the fact that you won't sleep for a year.
My favorite scene out of that whole movie has always been the opening where they're all getting dressed.
Because why have newsprint when you can have gloss?
To boot (to heel? to pump?), I've heard nothing but 'disappointing' about Lauren Weisberger's new book.
...Did I mention I love New York?
