About Me

I was commiserating with my friend Emiley yesterday about how the first week of blogging is both freaky and awkward, but as I am way past that, I have no shame sharing some little known facts about myself:

1) I was in a movie. Yes, I am the secretary in the limo with Fred Dryer in the 2005 smash hit (snicker) Suits On The Loose. It was filmed February 17, 2003 (don't ask me how I remember that) when I was still in high school. My mom and sisters are also in the movie in the very end diner scene. I had just chopped off my hair really short the day before, and I look super young. I laugh/cringe whenever I see it.
And yes, even though it was a non-speaking role, I am still bitter that I do not appear in the credits, have my own SAG card or imdb page!

2) I have stood next to Mischa Barton and lightly conversed with Drew Barrymore. I was flying on a Paris-L.A. flight around 2005. When I was 14, I checked out Miss Drew at a small supermarket where we vacation in New England in my 3-week stint as a supermarket checker.

3) Brad Pitt has never done it for me. Flame away. I'm sorry, I just don't understand the hype. I'd take George over him any day.

4) I hate soda and candy. It burns my throat and tastes gross. I gag at the mention of Diet Coke. I'll only drink Ginger Ale if I'm feeling sick on planes. Other than that, I love my H2O and an occasional Naked Juice and decaf mocha from Starbs.

5) I teethed on kelp as am infant. My family lived in a house on the beach for the first 11 years of my life, and I loved the salty goodness of that seaweed. I credit a lot of the fact why I have such a strong immune system today to that early antibody exposure.

6) I've been to 3 continents and 9 countries. Next, I want to go to Beijing to visit a native friend I met while "studying" abroad in Spain.
Nihau.

7) I'm not an artist (but I appreciate art). I remember being at the easel in kindergarten asked to paint what we wanted to be when we grew up. I remember strategically choosing "a teacher" so I could simply paint a huge mono-colored blue dress with stick figure head and legs to be done the quickest.

Hmm...what else? This is fun!

I didn't know you were in that movie! You are much more of a celebrity than even I thought... if that's possible. Hope you love the face I am now a blogger!
