Regarding the current events of the tainted Iranian elections, I suggest you read this fascinating Q&A on TED of how social media is quite literally, revolutionizing a revolution.
I hopped over to NY Times to get more details, and sure enough, they had an article detailing this very phenomenon happening amidst the Tehran tumult.
Wholly supports my belief that 'journalism is the first draft of history.' Exciting to see it be written in ways that, even a couple years ago, had not been invented.

It was incredible the amount to tweets going on. I had to refresh like, every 3 minutes! Yes, thai drift asap. i couldn't find better company than those four people! when shall we go?
The Twittering in Iran is incredible. It is also amazing for me to see how the Iranian government tries to sensor the media so strongly.
I love this! I miss working in the news and being so cutting-edge with new media. I personally think Twitter is useless when used by people our age (just got my hair done! eating pizza! etc) but the way it's being used in Iran is quite possibly the best use of technology I can think of! Thanks for sharing, Lexa
Janessa- totally agree!
