Utah driving violations

Violations:

Going 70 in the fast lane.

Going 30 on University Avenue.

Brake checking me while I tailgate you to move over while you are doing the a fore mentioned. (Yes, I'm quite aware I'm right on your rear!)

Dear UDs,

Let me introduce to you these things called "stop signs" - They are red with white lettering. How they work is you push your brake pedal slightly, then keep going. You were born with peripheral vision; use it.

Also, we have these things in California called "carpool lanes"- they just put them in your state here a little while ago. If you can't count another human in your car with you, then you cannot. use. them.
Double white lines are not passing lanes.
If I can properly refrain, you can too.
(PS: I'm convinced if they put the black diamond symbols on the carpool lane signs here, it would be the ski bum apocalyptic equivalent of the Yakima'd Subarus).

And lastly, dear drivers, when there is something happening on the OTHER side of the freeway, it does not warrant a lookie-loo.

I know that flashing lights are exciting, but try to contain your curiosity, because maintenance trucks are not peep (road)shows.

I welcome your vents in the comments.

Haha. Funny thing is my biggest pet peeve about Provo drivers (I will say Provo and not Utah because at least half the people in this town are not from Utah) is when they do NOT stop at stop signs. On the grid system most intersections are four way, and most only have stop signs two-ways. I have almost been hit multiple times by people who slightly "pause" at their own stop signs and assume that I have a stop sign when I do not, or they just don't care. Joey and I were driving on 500 N and were almost hit in an intersection when two cars BOTH ran their stop signs driving perpendicular to us at the same time. When they do not stop at the stop line it freaks me out because I do not know if they are actually going to stop at all.

I expressed this to a friend at work and she said of course she doesn't stop at the stop line (which is usually 10 feet back from the intersection) because you can't see anything from there. I told her, exactly, you can't see, so you need to stop and inch forward before you go. She thought that was crazy. Go figure.

PS - On a different note, Richard had fun playing games, but the next two days got pretty crazy in more than one way. I will tell you all about it next time we have lunch.

Please! I'll grant you a lot of the driving in UT (not my home state) is atrocious, but a lot of the problems come from people who don't understand the concept of blinkers and people from CA who have no idea what to do in the rain and snow. Instead of learning how to drive in those conditions, they drive all over the place/drive really fast or really slow, without their blinkers and without regard for other drivers.
